Born January 1, 1917. Died June, 7, 2012. World War II Army Veteran. Preceded in death by parents, Betsy and John; brother, Ross; sisters, Dorothy and Merrial and daughter, Jann. Survived by wife of 38 years, Sandy; sons, Chris (Suzanne) and Marcus (Georgie); six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dudley graduated Medical School and ROTC from the University of Minnesota in 1942. He was called to active duty in 1942 with the 327th Medical Batallion of the 102nd infantry division of the 9th Army as a 1st Lieutenant, promoted to Captain in 1943 and later became company commander of the 327th Medical Batallion. Served in Holland and Germany as a field surgeon, received a Bronze Star and was discharged in 1945. Dudley practiced Family Medicine and OB in Minnesota over 60 years–from 1946 to 2007. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and rock collecting. Many thanks to the staff at New Brighton Care Center.
